Bear

All About Bear: Bear is a male Olde English Bulldog of 3.5yrs.

Bear is looking for a new home where there are no young children as they make him nervous and anxious and he has nipped both children in his home.

Bear has never lived with dogs and gets very excited when meeting them on walks, but not in an aggressive way. Bear is not used to being around cats either.

Bear is a loving and loyal dog., who craves attention and loves nothing more than to lay next to his humans on a comfy sofa, occasionally rolling on his back to allow a tummy rub!.

Bear loves sharing a packet of ham with you at the fridge and sits there drooling whilst you eat your tea in the hope he will have some leftovers, he is very food orientated which is great for his ongoing training.

Every new toy Bear gets he makes it his mission to destroy, but has recently been defeated by a couple. Bear also loves suckling on his blanket and he gets a new one every month.  Bear can become quite territorial with his toys whilst they have his attention, but when that attention has been lost they can be easily taken away.

Bear has no Separation Anxiety when left and is crate trained.

From Bear's current family:-

"When it’s just me and him in the house or out walking he’s good as gold, no nerves. He needs a home without kids in my opinion. Other than that he’s a great dog, when he first came to live with us he pulled on the lead, literally dragged me all over the place and within weeks I had him walking lovely, he is very intelligent, now I could walk for miles with no lead and he’ll stay by my side. He used to jump all over the couch but it didn’t take long to stop him doing that either, a new bed and some treats and now he never climbs up. He’ll always give his paw before food and the resource guarding which was a bit of a problem at first is very rare now, it’s only his bed that he can get a bit protective over.  He doesn’t take objects of the clothes maiden like he used to. He gets very distressed whenever kids are nearby, whether he’s on his lead or not and seems to bite people’s shoes/feet more often than not. I really hope the right home can be found for him".

Bear is in the URMSTON, Manchester area.
