Atlas
All About Atlas: Atlas is a male Bocker of nearly 5yrs.
Atlas shares a busy home with his current family of two adults, three young children under 5yrs and Reggie, an 8yr old Cavachon. It is felt that Atlas would benefit from a quieter environment where there are no young children. Atlas is very much loved by the whole family as he is a big soft baby who is loyal and incredibly loving.
Atlas is happy and affectionate with people he knows, has excellent recall, adores his walks and is very food orientated, which makes him a rewarding dog to train.
Atlas can tend to resource guard around food and high value items, which the family can no longer safely manage alongside three young children. The family have managed Atlas well and have established a routine that all meals, treats and chews are given to the dogs in separate crates. Atlas could go on to live with other dog in his new home but of course the food management will need to be continued.
Atlas can also be a little anxious and can be unsettled by boxes and bags, and he finds the vet stressful. Atlas is fine with people he knows, and if he is unsure of someone or there are too many people around, he takes himself off to his crate and settles in there instead.
Atlas is a gentle, loving, deeply loyal dog with a lot to offer. Due to the combination of his breed (Cocker Spaniel and Beagle), Atlas has a good level of energy and thrives on being outdoors and so would need to find an active family that can give him the level of exercise that he needs.
Atlas is comfortable being left alone, he sleeps well and travels well in the boot of the car.
