Dexter
All About Dexter: Dexter is a male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Bull Mastiff of nearly 11yrs.
Dexter is a big bouncy boy who is always full of energy and certainly is not aware of his age, everyone that meets him can’t believe he is 10!. Dexter is just a big friendly giant and looking for a new family that also have plenty of get up and go!
Although Dexter has lived in a home with a young child and he is good with children he just does not know his own size or strength and he gets too excited when meeting people and cannot stop himself from jumping all over them, this tends to be too much for most people and so he is looking for a new home without young children. Dexter is just so desperate to join in on the play but is just too clumsy and bouncy for young children.
Dexter would benefit from a strong handler with experience of large dogs to further his training. Dexter has had a period of training, which he responded well to, but he needs someone with time to reinforce these methods.
Dexter i' a lovely dog to walk and generally greets other people and strange dogs happily on lead but he his recall needs some work. Dexter loves to be outdoors and due to his high energy levels needs a home with a garden and daily long walks. Dexter loves to play ball although he is reluctant to return it and prefers tug of war. Stuffed teddy's are also a hit with Dexter, but don't last long.
