Woody

All About Woody: Woody is a male Cockapoo of 5yrs.

Woody is nervous of children and strangers that try to stroke him and also of other dogs and can growl and lunge.  As a result,  Woody has a nip history which have not broken the skin.  Woody will need a new home without children and with a family that understand that it is not always the case that any dog wants unwelcome attention and to safeguard him from any such interactions.  Woody also has some resource guarding tendencies, particularly when he is stressed or in a different environment he can resource guard his space which is why he has his own crate as his very own safe space.

Woody has been attacked by other dogs on walks which has given him anxiety and reactiveness to some dogs on walks. This is managed by distracting him with treats and his reactivity has improved considerably but he would potentially need to be a sole dog in his new home.

Woody also has isolation anxiety, which is managed by a dressed mannequin torso as he believes this to be company. This allows Woody's current family to leave him home alone and he is comfortable being left alone.  Woody is looking for a new home where he is not left for long periods and where this anxiety can be worked on with him.

Woody is a very loving dog and is very intelligent and loves learning new tricks, he knows all the standard commands and shake, roll over, play dead and spin. Woody enjoys playing  ball, tug of war, having his kong or snuffle mat. Woody is a lovely dog once he trusts someone and, once this is the case, he is very loyal.

Woody would really thrive in an adult only home and potentially as the  dog, although Cockapoos generally do well with other Cockapoos, as of course they have the same energy levels. Woody can be such a sweet dog when he fully trusts you, he loves a stroke/scratch on his back and long walks or swims.

Woody is in the WINSLOW, Buckinghamshire area.
