Dolcie & Lil Durk
All About Dolcie & Lil Durk: Dolcie & Lil Durk are a female Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog of nearly 6yrs and a Male Dogue de Bordeaux of nearly 4.5yrs.
DOLCIE: Dolcie is friendly and good with all other dogs (she has not been around cats or small furries before). It is felt that she would do well in her new home if there is another dog. Dolcie can be anxious with new people and may be a little scared to start with but she is super friendly and loving once she knows and trusts new people. Dolcie is good with children and has lived with children previously with no issues. Dolcie’s favourite thing in the world is her ball, treats and belly rubs. Dolcie is very affectionate, eager to please and listens to commands amazingly well. Dolcie is from a previous home that had a history of domestic violence and so she can be anxious around brooms, shouting on the TV and items being dropped. Dolcie was also hit whereas Lil Durk was not, so he has become protective of her.
DURK: Durk loves nothing more than cuddling on the sofa and giving plenty of kisses to his humans. Durk isn't really toy or food orientated, although he has a new found love for rabbits feet, they are very high value for him and adores them! Durk does not resource guard and you ae able to approach him at all times. Durk loves meeting people, he does bark initially as some dogs do but after a minute or two he wants cuddles and a good fuss. Durk is fully muzzle trained and he is learn how to be a good boy on the lead. Durk can be strong on a lead but is responding really well to on lead training which will need continuing in his new home. Durk can be dog reactive on lead, however this may be exacerbated by his protective instincts for his current doggy Sister, Dolcie. Durk has lived with a dog his entire life so may be able to live with another dog, however this would ned to be a gradual introduction and will require a lot of patience from his new family. Durk has also lived with children and loves being around them.Due to domestic violence his original home, Durk can get a a bit agitated with raised voices or play fighting in the home. Durk can also get quite stressed if left alone so this would need to be a gradually increased. Currently Durk is the left with another dog and he settles perfectly, the duress is only when he is left completely alone. All in all, Durk is a fantastic dog, he is so lovable an would make a perfect dog for a family that live a quieter life, as long as you don't mind slobber, Durk could be the prefect pooch!
Dolcie and Lil Durk live happily together but we are looking for a new home for them both either separately or together.
