Poppy

All About Poppy: Poppy is a female Sprocker (springer-cocker mix), of nearly 6yrs

By the very nature of her breed, Poppy is very energetic and so she is looking for a new family that can keep up with her and live an active lifestyle and provide her with both mental and physical stimulation.

Poppy has severe separation anxiety, so she would benefit from a home where she has constant companionship. Poppy can develop a strong attachment to her family and is distressed if she cannot be with them all the time.

Poppy has a reactive bark to sudden noises so she would benefit from a quiet home.

Poppy can live with other dogs, but can be dominant with puppies. Poppy socialises well with other dogs on walks or in other dogs' homes. For an unknown reason, occasionally she runs and hides from black Labradors. Wooded walks off-lead are her favourite as Poppy has good recall (although this would of course need to be worked-on in her new home) and also walks well on the lead.

Poppy has come from a home with young children and loves playing with children. However, due to Poppy's separation anxiety and reactive bark, a home with older children would suit her best.

Poppy has not lived with a cat, but has shown no issues when visiting homes with cats.

Poppy is not currently crate-trained in her home but travels very well in a crate.

Poppy will need desensitisation work with a new groomer.

Poppy is very smart and thoroughly enjoys learning new tricks and she now has a full list of learned tricks under her belt.

Poppy is looking for a new home that will understand her needs and temperament and they will find a loyal best friend.

Poppy is in the HORFIELD, Bristol area.
